Trash or Treasure, Thrifted and Jewelry BoxUsing the tools of photography and graphic design, I have created a body of work that reflects my interest in collecting. The idea stemmed from taking photographs of trash in the Fall of 2020 where I was capturing the beauty of trash in its habitat on the streets of Beverly. Going around and seeing the untouched trash lying in the grass and roads really gave me the perspective of how others treat the objects they use/carry. Thrifted and Jewelry Box was developed by looking into that idea after talking with other people about what they do with their trash. When searching around for the thrifted objects in thrift stores and antique shops, I realized how many items we give away for others to enjoy. This connects with the jewelry box that my own grandmother passed down to me. The objects in this box have connections to my own family and history which is something that very much connects with the idea of thrift/antique shops. This photographic collection represents the idea of what happens to the items we no longer care for or have the head of.

Migrations — Drawings in ThreadWhen trying to boil down to an essence my varying ideas for my thesis it all came down one thing: Change. I want to take a concept and push it as far as I can- or at least the the point where I believe I have created a piece that is successful. But I have never been one to dwell in any one arena for long. I flit from subject to subject. I keep all the doors and windows open. I come and go from many points. This lead me to a place where I had to reconcile two distinct aspects of my creative personality: my drive to push limits, and my unwillingness to tie myself down to a single pursuit. That lead me to my new thesis idea: Migrations.

Storyboarding and animation (using After Effects) of opening film titles. Project involved learning After Effects; research of digital archives and relevant films; development of key elements (logotype, symbols) and orchestration of these, via storyboards, through digital animation and flipbooksAscenzia
My interest in Sci-Fi films and concept art has inspired me to create a series of key scenes in Blender that present a timeline to a story called Ascenzia. This is a story about an indestructible robot whose sole purpose is to hand over all of human history and information to an unknown living source. Not knowing that all life is gone and the entire universe is like a ghost town, the robot continues with its impossible mission to find life. It finds another robot with the same mission and they work together to find living source that lies in the “Beyond”. We follow the robots’ journey to unknown planets and environments, their mission leading us on a science fiction exploration.formats dynamic typography; animations; storyboarding; flipbooks; story; key scene visualizations; 3-D printed models; packaging
